When you're looking for something VERY different

leather motorcycle saddlebag on Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe motorcycle We can accommodate certain customization outside of our normal scope of options for additional fees.  Frequently, these requests can be done without any problems, however there are some things that we cannot do.  Below is a list of additional customizations we can accommodate with a rough ballpark estimate of pricing, and a few commonly asked services that we cannot do.  Final prices depend on the entire package.

CustomizationRequest

 Description Can we do it? Price(estimate)
Different Conchos Custom requests that different Conchos, provided by the customer, are added to the bags. Yes, as  long as the customer sources and sends in the Conchos on their own.  Please notify us in advance so that we know how the Conchos install.  In some rare cases we may not have the proper equipment. $1.50 - $2.00+ per concho depending on installation method.
Different Leather Color Customer wishes to have different leather color (brown, white, etc.) for their accessories Sorry, but no.  We used to make bags from leather sent to us by customers, but we've found that a lot of the leather is inappropriate for saddlebags and as a result, the bags are not of the quality we feel comfortable standing behind.   N/A
Different Piping Color Customer wishes to have a specific piping color, other than our current colors, placed on their bag/accessories. (For a list of our current colors, see our Piping Page.) Yes, as long as the customer sources and sends the piping to us.  Most seat manufacturers (which most folks try to match the piping on the seat) will work with you, but it does take some time until they get around to your request.  It is very important to call us first to ask about specific qualities (piping material, length, etc.) before sending the piping to us. $45 per set (includes both sides). $10 for toolpouches, Replacement Panels & Mudflaps; $3.00 for Handlebar Covers
Replacing Piping Customer owns Spider's Den bags and wants to have a new piping color placed on the bag. No.  Because of the construction of the bags, this cannot be done.  The cost to rip out, replace and sew would be more than purchasing a brand new bag. N/A
Different Buckles Customer wishes to have different buckles added. Yes, as long as the customer sources and sends the buckles to us.  Please contact us first so we can determine if we have the appropriate equipment to install the buckles (in most cases, yes...).   $2.00 per buckle installation.
Different metal studs Customer wishes to have different metal studs added instead of our standard studs. Generally no because most stud applications require specialized equipment which we may not have. N/A
Three Straps/buckles Most of our bags have only two strap, many people like three straps/buckles. Yes, but then the bag is considered to be custom, with no returns.  (Provisions made, of course, if there is a material defect in the bag.) $15.00 per set (includes both sides)
Products made from your pattern Customer has a pattern and wants us to make the product for them. In most cases, no, because we have no idea of the quality of the pattern.  Also, because it is a first run through, you would absorb all the research & development costs with working with the pattern.  In some rare cases we may consider the project and absorb some of the costs if we agree that the product has some commercial value.  The ONLY time we would consider this is off-season (October through January) Time & Materials
